Authorship Policy

Holistic Nursing Journal (HNJ)

The  Holistic Nursing Journal (HNJ) follows international standards for authorship and contributor ship in accordance with ethical publishing principles and the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant intellectual and scientific contributions to the manuscript.

To qualify as an author, contributors should meet the authorship criteria recommended by the ICMJE, including substantial contributions to the work, participation in manuscript drafting or critical revision, final approval of the version to be published, and accountability for the integrity and accuracy of the work.

All listed authors must approve the final submitted version of the manuscript and agree to its submission for publication.

Corresponding Author Responsibilities

The corresponding author is responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all eligible contributors are included as authors
  • Confirming that all authors approve the submitted manuscript
  • Managing communication with the journal during submission, review, and publication processes

Changes in Authorship

Any request to add, remove, or rearrange author names after manuscript submission must be approved by all authors and justified to the editorial office.

The journal reserves the right to request written confirmation from all authors regarding authorship changes.

Non-Author Contributions

Individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately in the acknowledgment section.

Prohibited Authorship Practices

The journal does not permit:

  • Guest authorship
  • Gift authorship
  • Ghost authorship
  • Misrepresentation of author contributions

Any unethical authorship practices may result in manuscript rejection or other editorial actions.
